INTRODUCTION

 

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2022 : The Staff Selection Commission [SSC]  of India conducts Combined Graduate Level [CGL] exam in four stages namely Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4. In SSC CGL exam pattern Tier-1 and Tier-2 are conducted in online mode, on the other side Tier-3 is conducted in pen and paper mode and Tier-4 includes computer skill tests. SSC CGL EXAM PATTERN TIER 1

SSC CGL Tier -1 exam will be conducted on an online basis, it comprises 100 questions in total with a maximum 200 marks. The exam should be completed in a time span of 60 minutes. Tier 1 is divided into 4 sections with 25 questions each.

SSC CGL EXAM PATTERN TIER 2

After the preliminary exam has been conducted it is necessary for the candidates to get focused on the tier 2 that is the mains exams which will be conducted online and in an objective [multiple choice question] form. Both tier 2 and tier 3 will be conducted on the same day.

SSC CGL TIER 2 SYLLABUS

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted online comprising 4 sections with about 100 to 200 questions in each section and with a maximum marks of 200. Candidates have to finished each exam with the time span of 2 hours

SSC CGL EXAM PATTERN TIER 3

TIER 3

SSC CGL tier 3 exam will be a descriptive test. The paper will be in English/ Hindi and will constitute 100 marks. The entire paper should be  completed within 60 minutes. The motive of this exam is to test the writing skills of the candidates. Aspirants are suggested to go through the writing formats and are also suggested to read daily newspapers, articles and magazines which will help them to crack the exam with flying colors.

SCC CGL EXAM PATTERN TIER 4

Tier 4 of SSC CGL exam is the final part of the exam. It  has been conducted just to check out the skills of the candidates. Skills that are required for certain government posts all over the country.

DEST[ Data Entry Speed Test]

SSC CGL DEST exam has been conducted to check the typing speed of the candidates. The candidates are given an article in English which they have to type on the computer. A candidate is required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.

CPT[Computer Proficiency Test]   

This test is conducted to check the candidates proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and generation of slides. This is the target skill set test for post like :

1. Assistant section officer in CSS

2. MEA and AFHQ

3. Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office[SFIO]

4. Assistant [GSI] in the ministry of mines 

5. Inspector [ central excise]

6. Inspector[Preventive Officer] and inspector[ examiner] in CBIC

 

NOTE- SSC CGL Tier 4 exam is qualifying in nature , no marks will be rewarded for tier 4 exam 

Candidates have to score well in all the tiers i.e, tier 1,tier 2, tier 3and tier 4 of SSC CGL exam.

FAQS

Frequently Asked

Tier 4 of SSC CGL includes DEST/CPT. This is required for certain posts. So it is not compulsory for everyone.

Yes there is a negative marking of 1/4 marks for every wrong answer. 

Aspirants applying for SSC CGL must not be less than 18 years and cannot be more than 32 years of age.

Solve practice set for last year’s question paper as much as possible. Practice GI and Reasoning every day. If we work hard for our goals we will pass the exam with flying colors
